Trust Based Relational Intervention | Caregiver Training

This event is for any adult parenting a vulnerable child whether through foster care, adoption, Safe Families, step parenting, or other circumstance.

We know that parenting can be difficult, and Grace Church wants to come alongside foster and adoptive parents who are looking for help in challenging times. Come join other parents as David and Colleen Little share their experience of integrating their faith and trust in God, with TBRI principles.

Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors.

Led by:

David and Colleen Little live in Prior Lake, Minnesota. They were on staff with The Navigators for 32 years, and in 2007, they adopted twin girls from Russia. Both Dave and Colleen have received training in the Trust Based Relational Intervention approach taught by Dr. Karyn Purvis from Texas Christian University; David has received the TBRI Educator training. They lead classes and seminars offering help, hope and healing to adoptive families in the Midwest, and also spend extensive time in the Ukraine and Russia training and coaching parents who are fostering and adopting children.
